What this site is
padengayle.com is my personal site. It holds my writing about forward deployed engineering, a job board I maintain, information about my book, and details of talks. Using the site means you accept what is on this page.
The writing is mine
The articles, the guide, the diagrams and the design are my work and stay my copyright. Quote a paragraph with a link back, share a page, use it in your own work as reference: all fine. Republishing a whole piece as your own, or feeding it into a product you sell, is not.
Company names and logos belong to those companies and appear here to identify them, not to suggest they endorse me.
The job board
Roles are gathered automatically from companies’ own careers pages and link straight back to them. I do not represent those employers, I take no fee from them, and I cannot vouch for a listing, a salary range or whether a role is still open. Check the employer’s own page before you apply.
Salary figures on this site come from what employers publish, and are ranges rather than offers.
Advice, not guarantees
Everything here is what I have learned doing this job. It is information and opinion, not career, legal, financial or employment advice, and nothing on this site promises you an interview, an offer or a salary. What you do with it is yours.
Emails
If you sign up, you get what the form said you would, plus the occasional note about the community, the book or a talk. You can leave at any time from the link in every email. What I do with your address is in the privacy page.
The community and FDE Backbone
The Applied AI Engineers community runs on Skool. The FDE Backbone is a separate 90-day program priced at $1,700 per month for three months, $5,100 total, with community access only while you're in the program. Its program page explains the schedule and deliverables. This website does not take payments. External enrollment platforms have their own terms and billing processes.
Availability
I keep the site up and the board fresh, but I do not promise either will be uninterrupted or error-free. Pages change, roles disappear, and I may add or remove things without notice.
